Disable Microsoft Bing from Edge
In the event that you need to get rid of Microsoft Bing , at this point you no longer have to worry about it because Microsoft allows you to search Bing in Windows 10 in Microsoft Edge.
Follow the steps carefully to successfully remove/disable Bing Search in Windows 10 in Microsoft Edge.
- Click on Windows Logo and click on the Microsft Edge browser .
- Click three dots in the top right and scroll down to select Settings .
- Click Privacy, Search, and Services .
- Next, scroll down to select the address bar and look for options.
- From the drop down menu under ' Search engine in address bar ' select such as Google or Yahoo
- And finally, in the next screenshot you can see that Bing is disabled:
The above steps will disable Bing in your browser's default search engines.
Disable Bing in the start menu using the registry editor application
Follow the steps below to remove/disable Bing from Start menu .
Step 1: Search for Registry Editor in the Windows taskbar search box and open it.
Step 2: Now in the 'Registry Editor' application simply navigate to 'Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows'.
Step 3: Now create a new key named Explorer .
Step 4: Next, right-click in the right pane of the Registry Editor application and create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value named DisableSearchBoxSuggestions .
Step 5: To turn off Bing and ads in search, set the value to 1 and click OK button as shown below .
Step 6: Now close the Registry Editor application and restart your computer.
Well that's it, after that hopefully Microsoft Bing will be disabled/removed from the Windows Start menu.
