If you recently added an email account in your Outlook Express and received an error while sending the email, that means: Sending reported error (0X800CCC78): This message cannot be sent. Check the email address in your account. Properties .. Invalid HELLO name (see RFC2821.4.1.1.1)
You may already be trying to resend the email but each time it sends the reported error 0x800ccc78 in your Outlook or Windows Live email. It doesn't matter if you closed and restarted your Outlook, it won't work. Even after you have restarted the Windows system, Outlook cannot send email and keeps showing the same error message.
You may receive emails in your Outlook Express, but outgoing emails just don't work.
So, the question arises how to fix error 0x800ccc78 on your Windows system. Well I found the solution for this. Before we proceed, let us understand why sending emails from Outlook is not allowed.
When we set up an email in Outlook Express or Windows Live email, a connection is established via SMTP, which requires authentication to send an email. The problem only affects the settings.
