The Windows 10 Mail app is a simple email management client that handles day-to-day communication fairly well. However, while setting up a Yahoo account, some users have complained that the Mail app shows error code 0x8019019a. If you also get this error message on your computer, just follow these simple fixes to fix the problem quickly.
Fix 1 – Remove Yahoo Account and add it again
If you're having problems with the existing Yahoo account in the Mail app, remove and re-add it.
Steps to Remove Yahoo Account
1. Open the Mail app on your computer.
2. On the right side you will see all the emails associated with the app.
3. Right-click the Yahoo mail and click " Account Settings " to check it.
4. Then click " Delete Account " to remove the account from Mail app.
5. Finally, click on " Delete ".
Once the Yahoo account is removed, follow these steps to add it back.
Steps to add Yahoo account again
1. open any browser and go to https://login.yahoo.com/
Now enter your USER ID and PASSWORD and log in to your Yahoo account.
2. Now go to your inbox and click on your profile icon at the top right.
3. Now click on Account Information .
4. Now click on Account Security from the left menu .
5. Now scroll down and look for Generate app password and click on it.
6. Now select another app from the drop down menu.
7. Write Windows Mail and click Generate .
8. Copy the generated password here.
9. In the Mail app, click the gear-shaped icon on the left.
10. Then click on " Manage Accounts " on the right.
11. Then click " Add Account " to add the Yahoo account.
12. Next, select Other account
13. Now enter your Yahoo mail ID, name and copied password in the given fields.
14. Finally, click Sign In and your account will be added.
Fix 2 – Update mail client
You need to update the mail client on your computer.
1. Open the settings window.
2. Then click on the " Updates & Security " settings.
3. Then click " Check for updates ".
4. Windows downloads the updates to your computer.
5. Click Restart Now to restart your computer.
After updating Windows, check if there is a mail update.
1. Open the store on your computer.
2. Then click the down arrow next to the search icon in the right corner to view the available updates.
3. Next, go through the list of apps.
4. Then click " (↓) " next to Mail app to download and install the update.
After the mail client is updated, try setting up the Yahoo mail client again.
Fix 3 – Reset Mail App
You can reset the Mail app on your computer.
1. Open the settings on your computer.
2. Then click on " Apps ".
3. After that, click on " Apps & Features ".
4. Next, type " mail " in the search box on the right side.
5. Then click the Mail and Calendar app to select it.
6. After that, click on " Advanced options ".

After resetting the app, close the settings window.
After that, launch the Mail application on your computer and set up Yahoo mail again.

You can uninstall and reinstall the mail client from your computer to fix the problem.
