Steps to Check Java Version on Windows PC
Let's see how to check the Java version installed on your Windows 10 operating system:
1) Click the Windows Logo/Start button
2) Type CMD
3) Click Run as administrator on the right side
4) Click Yes if pop-up windows open.
5) At the prompt, type below the line and press <Enter
Java-VersionHere the current Java version is displayed along with the runtime environment as shown above.
Note : If the Java version is not displayed and an error is displayed, your operating system may not have Java installed. The following error message may appear:
If you are sure that Java is not installed, you need to download it from the official website https://www.java.com/en/ and install it on your Windows PC. Then you need to run the above command to know its version.
