How to Fix Google Chrome White Screen Error on Startup

 Google Chrome is the most widely used web browser. Because of its user interface, it is the preferred choice of many users. Recently, users face white screen issue when launching Google Chrome. It just shows a white page and doesn't load any webpage. Let's see how we can fix it.

Clear browser data

Step 1: Press Ctrl+Shift+Del keys in Google Chrome.

Step 2: In Clear browsing data window, go to Advanced tab and select Total time in time range. Check all the boxes below and click Clear data .

Step 3: Now try to load the web page.

Disable hardware acceleration

Step 1: Click the three dots at the top and then click Settings .

Step 2: Click Next to go to the advanced settings.

Step 3: In the System section , set Use hardware acceleration eration when available Turn off button.

Clear GPU cache folder

Step 1: Close Google Chrome.

Step 2: Press Win+R , in Run the command type AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\ShaderCache and click OK .

Step 3: In the ShaderCache folder, delete all GPU Cache folders .

Step 4: Reboot the system for the changes to take effect.

Disable browser extension

Newly added extensions can be buggy and lead to a white screen issue. You can try disabling such extensions to fix the problem.

Step 1: Click the three dots at the top, click More tools, and choose Extensions from the submenu.

Step 2: Click on the button to disable the extension . You can click Remove if you want to delete this extension.

Reset browser settings

You can try resetting the browser settings to fix this problem. You can also clean the computer if you doubt that it is due to a problem in the system.

Step 1: Click on the three dots in the above and click Settings .

Step 2: Click Advanced Settings.

Step 3: Go to the Reset and clean section and select Reset settings to their original defaults .

Step 4: A confirmation popup will appear, to reset settings, click Reset settings .

Step 5: You can click on the Clean up computer option if you doubt that the problem is due to malicious software on the computer.

Reinstall Google Chrome

You can try uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Chrome application to fix this problem.

Step 1: Press Win +I keys on the keyboard.

Step 2: From Settings, select Apps .

Step 3: Find Google Chrome in the list of apps and features and click on it. Click Uninstall button.

Step 4: Once Google Chrome is uninstalled, reinstall it from Windows App Store.
