Many of you may see this " Only safe content is displayed " error message at the bottom of the webpage. This can be annoying especially when you are working and surfing on an important website. Apparently, this error appeared after the major security and Microsoft Edge updates in Windows 10.
While security changes are important for the better health of your Windows 10 PC, the error can be frustrating. The good news is that there is a solution to this "Only safe content is displayed" error in Windows 10. Let's see how to fix this problem.
Solution: Via internet options
Step 1: Press Windows + R keys simultaneously on your keyboard to open Run command . Now type inetcpl.cpl in the search box and press OK to open Internet Options window .
Step 2: In the Internet Properties window, click the Security tab and then click the Custom Level button down.
Step 3: In the next window ( Security Settings – Internet Zone ) in the Settings section, scroll down to Display mixed content and select the radio button next to Enable .
Press OK to save changes and exit.
Now try browsing the webpage and the error should be resolved. If not, you can try the second method.
Method 2: By adding the web address to trusted sites
Step 1: Open Internet Properties window as shown in Step 1 in Method 1. On the Security tab , click the Trusted Sites icon and click the Sites button at the bottom .
Step 2: In the Trusted Sites dialog box that opens, go to the Add this website to the zone box and add the required . Add web address and click the Add button next to it .
For example, here we had an issue with the Gmail (gmail) website , so we added the web address to the field: mail.google.com and pressed the Add button.
Now close the window and click OK again on the Internet Properties window to save the changes and exit.
You can now try to browse the same web address and the error should no longer appear.
