How to fix Run.Vbs script file cannot be found error when logging into Windows 10

Solution: Using the Registry Editor

Step 1: On your keyboard, press Ctrl + Alt + Del keys at the same time to open Security Options. Click on the Task Manager option .

*Note - Since you cannot reach the Windows desktop, you can only open Task Manager using this method.

Step 2:  In the Task Manager window, go to the File tab and select Run new task .

Step 3: In the Create a new task prompt , type regedit in the search box and check the box next to Create this task with administrator privileges . Click OK .

Step 4: In the Registry Editor window, navigate to the following path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Step 5: In the Edit String window , in the Value data field , delete the value and write the same value again. as below:

C:\Windows\system32\userinit.exe,

Press OK to save changes and exit.

*Note - Be very careful when re-entering the value. Make sure it's exactly the same as before, even with the comma at the end, otherwise everything will go wrong.

Step 6: Now go back to the Task Manager window and click on the Users tab . Right-click the user and click Disconnect .

You'll see another prompt asking if you want to disconnect. Just click on the Disconnect User option and you will be logged out. Now try to log in and you will be logged in easily this time.
