Some of the Windows 10 users are reporting an issue with "Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly" . Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly " is an error that appears when you try to start a service-based operation on your Windows 10. This error is mainly due to faulty . attributed services or corrupted settings of that particular service. Before performing the troubleshooters, restart your computer. Check if the error is still there or not. If same error occurs, try these fixes-

Fix-1 Repair the problematic service -

The service you are trying to start may be corrupt or corrupt . So the problem can be solved by deleting and then installing the service. Follow these next steps to delete and reinstall the problematic service-

1. Press Windows Key+R , type " regedit " in the Run window and press Enter .

2. In the Registry Editor window, just follow this path-

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Services.

3. Find the service where the error occurs (Here we take ACPI service for example) from the list of services.

4. Now right click on this service and click " Export ".

5. Choose a suitable save location, name it like the original , click " Save ".

This process is to create a backup of this service.

6. Now select this service again and press the " Delete " key on your keyboard.

Click Yes when you get the message " Are you sure you want to permanently delete this key and all of its subkeys? ".

Close the Registry Editor window .

7. You can open the Run window by pressing Windows Key+R .

8. Then type copy-paste or the following in the Run window and press Enter.

9. Type " sfc/scannow " in the command prompt and press Enter .

Wait until you get the Verification 100% complete message .

Close Command Prompt and restart your computer.

10. After rebooting, locate the saved registry backup, right click on it and click " Merge ".

11. Now click on the search box on the taskbar and type " Services ". Click " Services ".

Services will open.

9. Locate the service you merged a while ago in the Services window , right-click it and click Start . This will restart the service.

Close the Services window .

Try to check if the error is still there or not. If the problem persists, try the next solution.

Fix-2 Change control of service to management profile

Sometimes various permissions and other criteria such as control impede the usual work of a particular service. Changing the control of the service to an administrator profile can solve the " Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly " issue. Follow these steps to change control of service to management profile-

Before proceeding, make sure you are logged in as an administrator account  (not a guest account ).

1. First you need to open the Run window . To do this, press Windows key+R .

2. Then type " services.msc " in the Run window .

2. Locate the service that is encountering the error from the list of services. After right-clicking, click " Properties ".

3. Go to the " Login " tab and click on the " Browse " option.

4. Click Advanced on the bottom left of the Select User window .

5. Click Find Now and search for the account name you used. Choose your account name and then click " OK ".

6. Your selected username will appear on the " Enter the object names to select " tab . Click OK .

7. Click " Apply " and you will be prompted with " Passwords do not match ". Click " Ok ".

Now enter your password in the box next to " Password: " and re-enter your password in the box below named " Confirm Password: ".

8. Now click on " OK ".

Close the Properties tab .

Restart your computer and try running your service again. The problem with the service should be resolved.
