Windows 10 Photos app is more than a powerful gallery app. This default gallery app on Windows 10 PCs can do a lot more than just show you the pictures and play videos on your PC. The Photos app allows you to edit your images/videos and add various effects.

1] Import multiple photos
You can import multiple photos to Photos app with a single click. Click the Import icon in the top right and select the folder you want to import the images from. You can select all images in a folder by selecting All Items from the drop-down menu . Also, you can choose where you want to delete or not the original items after import. In addition, you can also select the images clicked on a specific date.
2] Add 3D effects
Besides the regular editing like adjusting the light, adding filters, cutting, cropping, resizing the image, etc., this app also allows you to add some interesting 3D effects to your images. For example, here I add the birthday balloon effect to my cocktail drink image. This effect converts the image into a small video.
To add these 3D effects to your photo, select the photo you want to edit, click the Edit and Create button on the main menu ribbon and select Add 3D Effects. You will see many options there and you can choose the one that goes well with your image.
As you can see in the screenshot below, you can add an artistic touch to your image by drawing something over it and also add the animated text to your images or create a video from images.
3] Add comment to your video
Record the voiceover you want to add to the video. You can use Windows Voice Recorder for this. To add the narration-
Select the video.
On the main menu ribbon, click Custom Audio .
Click Add Audio File and select your voiceover file and you're done.
4] Remove black bars from video
To remove black bars from your video, open a new video project and add the video.
Take the video in the storyline and right click.
Go to the Resize option and select Remove Black Bars
5] Automatic video
Windows 10 Photos app also provides automatic remix of your photos/videos in the app. For example, here I can see an automated video made with all my images clicked on February 27th. You can also create such videos manually whereby you can select some images and videos from your album and the app will take random clips from all your selected videos and make a new short remix video with background music.
Click New Video and select Auto Video
Select the images or videos from your library.
Click create and the app will automatically create a short remix video with default background music.
This is an automatic video but you can edit it.
You can change the content, tempo and length of your video.
6] Draw funny objects in your video
Even with the simple drawing, you can add some fun elements to your video. Open your video in Photos app and click Edit\Create. Choose Draw and show your creativity. You can change the pen size and color to your liking. Be as creative as possible.
7] Add text to your image/video
Select an image or video. From the main ribbon menu, click the Edit and Create tab and select Add Animated Text.
Select the style you want and write the text in the empty white box.
Save a copy and you're done.
You can also add motion and filters to make your pics/videos more attractive.
8] Add tags to photos
As we all know, Photos app helps us organize our pictures and videos better. So here's a feature to help you quickly find your photos using the tags. The Photos app adds the relevant tags to your pictures so you can find them easily.
Go to the search box and smile and you will get all the pictures where you smile.
Or you can also search the images using the geotag as the app will automatically add the location to your images.
9] Tag people in photos
This is another very good feature of the Photos app. You can tag people by their name and then see their pictures at any time just by clicking on their names.
Go to the People tab and turn on the People setting in the Photos app.
Tag your friends and family and that's it.
10] Add Favorites to Photos app in Windows 10
You can also add favorites to the Photos app. Again, this feature is very useful for better organizing your images and videos. Open an image and click the heart at the top to add to favorites
